Below are examples of types of cases that Docket Alarm will seek to suppress from search engines, such as Google and Bing:

  • Bankruptcies that are over 2 years old.
  • Discrimination or unfair termination lawsuits (request for removal must be brought by the plaintiff).
  • Social security cases.
  • Any case that a court has ordered to be sealed.
  • Cases involving minors.
  • Old criminal cases.
  • Cases where law enforcement home address or other personal information (excluding identity) is disclosed.

It typically takes around 5 business days to get a response to your Docket Alarm removal request. Docket Alarm does not directly control search engines, so does not guarantee when they will remove it from their results, but they usually do within 15 days.
