How to opt out of LexisNexis

  1. Open the consumer portalGo to consumer.risk.lexisnexis.com/opt and choose Request Opt-Out under Submit Online. You can also mail the printable form or call 1-888-497-0011.
  2. Pick the right opt-outChoose prescreen (credit and insurance offers), direct marketing, personal safety, or Daniel’s Law, depending on your situation.
  3. Enter your detailsProvide your name, address, date of birth, and either your Social Security number or driver’s license number and state, as LexisNexis requires for verification.
  4. Submit and saveSubmit and save a dated screenshot of the “request received” confirmation.
  5. Confirm laterRequest a free LexisNexis consumer disclosure report a few months later to check the result.

A LexisNexis opt-out limits certain marketing and people-search uses; it does not remove data used for regulated purposes such as fraud prevention or background screening. A security freeze is a separate, free option.
