How to clean up old YPSort results
- Confirm YPSort is offlineVisit the site. If it no longer loads or shows unrelated content, there is no opt-out left to submit.
- Do not send personal dataIgnore old forms or email addresses that claim to process removals for this site, and never pay anyone to do so.
- Clean up search resultsIf Google still shows an old YPSort page with your details, submit the exact URL to Google’s Refresh Outdated Content tool.
- Check active sitesThe same data often lives on active people-search sites. Opt out of those separately.
About YPSort
YPSort was an online yellow pages directory.
After you opt out
- Search your name on the site again in a private browser window to confirm the listing is gone.
- Opt out of related sites separately; one request rarely covers every brand.
- If Google still shows the old page, use Google’s Refresh Outdated Content tool once the listing is removed.
- Re-check every few months, because profiles can reappear when databases refresh.
